DOT 12 Hour Logs

2 people recommend this.
Does anyone have or can send me a link to a good DOT Log Template in excel format. I have seen waste companies use these before. It can be challenging to get logs from driver's on a timely basis. Having done it this way in the past, it was easier to manage.

As part of global efforts to combat climate change and dramatically reduce global emissions, there is a lot of talk about the potential of hydrogen to replace fossil fuels at some future time. But the fact is, hydrogen is already being used for clean mobility, power generation and other applications. Hydrogen is already happening now. Get on the Hydrogen Train, Plane, Bus and more! Alstom , a European transportation company, has built a regional passenger hydrogen train called the Coradia iLint and is currently undergoing its testing phase in Lower Austria. The company has already successfully demonstrated the ...

I'm the Solid Waste Manager for the City of Port St. Lucie, Florida. We have been experiencing an ongoing problem with hydraulic oil spills and glass spills on GSP side loaders. With regards to glass spills, these trucks from my understanding weren't designed for recycling but rather, for the collection of solid waste. Is that true? The contractor is currently retrofitting these trucks to mitigate the glass spills. Regarding hydraulic oil spills, as I write this, we had a large hydraulic spill in a gated community. And I don't know why, but the gated communities seem to get the lions share of the spills. We have quite a few of them so I suppose the law of ...

Hi, I have been on the municipal side of the Solid Waste industry for 17 years. I have worn many hats during this time, with the last 3.5 years being in management. There are so many challenges that we encompass each day, as many others do, I'm sure. Because the industry seems to have such a huge turnaround with drivers/helpers due to the pay and/or nature of the job, I feel it hard to build a good reliable team. We collect solid waste 5 days a week, between trash, recycle yard waste and bulk for just over 4K residents. We seem to have quite a bit of missed collections each day, drivers who call out often, drivers who just want to drive and go home and ...

Hello, My name is Keanah Turner and I am a graduate student in the Environmental Science and Policy Department at George Mason University. I am currently in the process of completing my master’s thesis which has focused on identifying problems associated with recycling program management at the local level. Understanding the factors that influence the management of public recycling programs as well as the role local governments can play is critical since it may reveal why the recycling rate has stagnated and identify areas for improvement. In the past 10 years waste management and subsequently recycling program management has experienced a shift in operations ...

I am currently searching for research or people whom have explored using Cradle To Grave Laws to dispose of Ewaste. Ewaste traditionally has cost municipalities large sums of money to deal with at the solid waste disposal site. My interest is if this can be collected and sorted by manufacturer and then sent back to the manufacturer for proper disposal under the cradle to grave rules. Understand my intent here is to make these producer come to the table with a "waste funded up front fee" to help deal with all this. In our area I live rural enough that every weekend is toss you old computer in a field days! I have started small just collecting the items along ...

I attended the Pheonix Swana Wastecon 10/21-10/24 and I am looking to speak with a gentleman I meet in the Recycling Partnership Curbing Containment Workshop on Monday from 1-4 pm. I did not get your name. We sat at the same table and did some group workshops together. I am not sure but I think you are from North or South Carolina and represented a city municipality. We talked about flow control and I have a question for you. You did all the writing for our group. My name is Bob David and I am from Wyoming and my friend with me is Kevin. There was a total 5 of us at the table. Please contact me at wdsbob@gmail.com

Sanitary dump ponds in landfills create a unique set of challenges. The biggest being how to increase the evaporation rates to concentrate solids for composting at a fast enough pace to keep up with the inflow? RWI Enhanced Evaporation is in pre-release for its Sanitary Pit Boss wastewater evaporation unit. During pre-release you get discount pricing in return for RWI Enhanced Evaporation being allowed to use the data from the operation of the unit for Scientific Papers, white papers, and industry articles. These units handle any type of wastewater, but Sanitary Pit Boss is specifically designed to handle sanitary dump ponding. No nozzle to clog, no pumps ...

Was curious if anybody is utilizing a harness system to access the top of front loaders? For instance: If you have laborers washing the trucks - do they access the top of the truck to clean cameras and such Do drivers access the top of the truck if trash doesn't make it into the hopper If you do have staff accessing the top of the truck via the ladder installed on the side of the truck or some other mobile rolling ladder - do you utilize a harness system? If so, can you provide specifics on what you use how it is attached to the truck/personnel what are the requirements for when it must be used If not, is there some other form of fall protection ...

Toxic release inventories, or TRIs (Form R), are due on July 1 st from facilities that release, manufacture, or use EPCRA Section 313 chemicals above EPA thresholds (over 25,000 lbs). Facilities must report, using Form R, quantities of 313 chemicals used during the calendar year to the EPA, including chemicals in waste onsite and offsite, as well as accidental releases. Regardless of whether TRI reporting is applicable, the methodology and supporting calculations need to be established to prove reporting is required, or NOT required. Though they are experts in what they do, companies may not understand all the rules or have the reporting methodologies in ...

Environmental emissions reporting can be an arduous task if you do not have systems in place to monitor what materials you use and in what quantities. Your SDS system is the root of the and is preferably one that works well with your emissions database for streamlined reporting. Lippert Components , a supplier of components to the recreational vehicle, manufactured housing, trailer, bus, marine and heavy truck industries, has used DECA Environmental’s Online SDS and integrated Environmental Reporting systems for the past few years. According to Lippert’s Jason Demeter, the ease of use, flexibility, and integration of both systems has made their reporting ...
