I am a young solid waste expert within the Rochester region in upstate NY. Since I have been a little kid my fascination has been Garbage trucks because of their immense power. since then I became very involved in Recycling and composting since I hate to Waste. Since my middle school days I have been studying the Waste industry and made Recycling, Composting, and Waste Diversion my priority and goals thus making the Waste industry my Niche. I am going into my last semester at Alfred State college for Heavy equipment operations with goals to work for Waste Management operating the equipment in one of their Landfills. I also have goals to own my own Waste hauling Company within the Rochester region. I am now 19 years old and hope to have and immense impact on the solid waste industry with my knowledge of the industry and hope to make and impact in the future as I am young and one of few young solid Waste professionals and experts as there are not many of us out their as many shy away from one of the biggest industries in the U.S.I consider my myself a "Garbologist" as I study the industry, attend, events, Work on the front lines with waste, and have retained alot of knowledge along the way. I hope by joining SWANA I can expand my knowledge within the industry and make a difference as well as make my goal of owning my own Waste hauling company and working for WM in a Landfill become a success.
