SAN FRANCISCO, CA – The GTM1350-Refueler created by Luxfer-GTM
Technologies allows CNG fleets to refuel at any location and fills 14-20 vehicles in a
single use. In the past, fleet owners relied only on CNG stations to refuel their vehicles.
“As communities continues to develop around our country, we know we will start
seeing CNG stations on every corner,” says Meredith Webber, vice president of sales
and marketing for Luxfer-GTM Technologies. “In the meantime, CNG fleet owners who
don’t have a station close to them often experience range anxiety and worry about
hefty towing fees if they don’t get their vehicles to a station quickly enough when they
need to refuel.”
The GTM1350-Refueler is intended to function as a mobile daughter station allowing
fleets to access CNG at all times. The unit is towable by a standard pick-up truck
allowing it to be placed at a company’s facility or transported to any location. It
features a driver’s side fill panel with a standard NGV1 dispensing nozzle as well as a
pneumatic booster powered by an air compressor.
“Fleet owners who would like to convert to CNG are hesitant because they don’t know
where they are going to have their vehicles fueled if they are not close to a CNG
station,” says Webber. “This gas transport unit solves that issue for them.”
The GTM1350-Refueler is approved by both the Department of Transportation (D.O.T.)
and Transport Canada (T.C.) and meets the highest safety standards of 8G
engineenered frames. It has a working pressure of 3,600psig, carries a volume of
155.5scf and extends the reach of a vehicle by 335DGEs.
