    Hello, Swana members!

I've seen a big amount of data about how much waste is produced in the USA. Unfortunately, many of the resources are outdated.

I've also heard about a book called "Garbology: Our Dirty Love Affair with Trash", that talks about the amount of trash produced in US. I looked in the eLibrary but is not there, It'd be great if someone could share it with us.

The mean is apparently 4.40 pounds per person per day (2 kg per day). But I'm not sure about that data since the USA is very heterogeneous.

Do you know some papers that present trash data per cities?

Pedro:  the U.S. EPA issues an annual report that quantifies waste generation. It's about 4.6lbs per capita/day. 255 million tons of MSW each year.  Come to WASTECON/ISWA World Congress to learn more!
