Recycling data and goals

Good Morning,

We recently went to automated 36 gallon recycle carts for our contract service area, so far it has been successful. However, we are looking for reasonable goals to establish that match our population per square mile (or close) which is 326 homes per square mile. The data I am researching is how much material (percentage) of the waste stream is being recycled in similar size areas. We have roughly 43454 residents with 1 time week collection for garbage (96 gal cart), 1 time week recycle (36 gal cart) and 1 time week unlimited yard waste collection using rear load and boom trucks. Recycle is single stream accepting glass (clear, brown, green), cardboard, plastics 1-5, tin, alum cans, paper/magazines.

Thanks in advance

Alan Lane
